If you are a ClickBank vendor and are allowing affiliates to promote your product, your affiliates will send prospects to your site via their affiliate links (also called hoplinks). ClickBank hoplinks look similar to this (depending on their affiliate ID and your publisher ID):

http://john1.happy3.hop.clickbank.net

Once a prospect reaches your site, the URL in the title bar will appear as in the picture below. Notice that the the affiliate’s ClickBank ID appears at the end of the URL (circled in red):

As a vendor, you can protect your affiliates’ hoplinks to help insure they receive their appropriate commissions. You can protect their links by “cloaking” them so their affiliate ID will not show in the URL. This is also a benefit for you as a vendor as the link won’t scream out “an affiliate sent me here just to make money off of me”

If you have chosen PayPal as your payment processor, you will need to implement the “PayPal payment button” on your website. This is the button that your visitors will click in order to purchase your product and send payment to you via PayPal. Before adding the PayPal button to your site, you will have to already be signed up and have your PayPal account active.

Adding the PayPal button to your site involves filling out the PayPal button form and grabbing the code and and pasting it into your sales page or website. There are a number of options that you will need to specify such as your Thank You URL, tax and shipping costs, item names, etc. Finally, after adding the payment code to your site, you will need to test that it’s working properly.

You have probably heard a lot of talk about ClickBank, but you may be new to it and aren’t really sure what it’s about. ClickBank is a marketplace for digital products. They make it easy for you to sell your products (such as an eBook) online. They handle receiving all payments from your customers for you. In addition to helping you sell your products, they also enable you to run an affiliate program. This means that others will sell your product for you and you simply pay them a commission for doing so. ClickBank handles paying your customers as well. If you don’t have a product of your own, you can also sign up as an affiliate and promote other’s products (this can be very profitable!).
